The call-out charge applies once per visit. The lower hourly rate covers taps and sanitary ware, the higher one high pressure drain clearing and boiler work. The surcharge applies before 08:00, after 18:00 and on Sundays and is a fixed amount, not a percentage. After the first hour time is counted per quarter of an hour, and parts are listed separately.

If it takes longer than estimated. At the door you hear what appears to be needed and roughly what that costs. If it turns out to be more work, you hear that the moment it becomes clear and not afterwards on the invoice. Above € 400 nothing goes ahead without your agreement.

Is there water on the floor?

Call first and read the rest afterwards. Within a minute you know when somebody can be there and what the call-out costs.

Explained

How the time is counted

The first hour is charged whole, after that per 15 minutes. Time starts the moment we are at your door and stops when the work is done; driving and fuel sit in the call-out charge and are not counted again as labour.

Parts appear separately on the invoice, with make and type. If a part has to be fetched that was not in the van, that trip is not charged as labour.

If opening things up shows more is wrong, you hear it at that moment, with an amount. Above € 400 nothing continues without your agreement. If you would rather think it over or get a second price first, that is fine: only the call-out and the time spent are charged.

What does not happen

No separate emergency rate produced at the door. No percentage added to the hourly rate in the evening. No two hour minimum. No registration fee, no administration charge, and no surcharge for paying by card.

These amounts apply to private addresses in Uithoorn, De Kwakel, Amstelhoek and Vrouwenakker. For recurring work on a building with several dwellings, different terms are agreed in advance, because a breakdown rate is not reasonable there.

Questions

Common questions

Question not here? Calling is faster than searching; you hear straight away what is possible and what it costs.

Can I explain the problem in English?

Yes. The call is answered in English if you start in English, and WhatsApp works just as well, especially with a photo. If a technical word is missing on either side, a photo settles it faster than either of us finding the right term.

What time can I call?

From 07:00 to 22:00, seven days a week. Outside those hours the phone is not answered, and we would rather say so than leave you in a queue at half past two in the morning. Leave a message and you are called back at the start of the next day.

What does the call-out cost?

€ 45, once per visit. On top of that € 65 to € 85 per hour depending on the work, and a € 25 surcharge before 08:00, after 18:00 and on Sundays. All amounts include Dutch VAT (btw). They are on this site so you know them before you call, not once somebody is standing in your hallway.

How quickly can you get here?

Usually within 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the town and on what is already running. On the phone you hear a band that fits your address. We do not quote a number of minutes we cannot meet.

I rent my home. Should I call you or my landlord?

Dutch law splits it roughly like this: small repairs and anything you can reach yourself are the tenant, and the installation itself is the landlord. Many landlords and housing associations want to arrange the visit themselves. If you are not sure, call us anyway, tell us it is a rented home, and you will hear whether it is worth calling your landlord first. We put on the invoice where the fault actually was, which is what settles that discussion.

Which towns do you cover?

Uithoorn, De Kwakel, Amstelhoek and Vrouwenakker. That is deliberately a small area: it is the only way to write down a driving time that is actually met. If your address is just outside the list, call anyway and you hear straight away whether it works.

How do I pay?

By payment request (a Dutch payment link, usually via iDEAL) or by invoice within fourteen days. Cash is not requested, and nothing is ever paid up front for work that has not been done.

What if the fault comes back?

Repair work carries three months of guarantee: if the same fault returns in the same place, we come without a call-out charge. That does not cover a new blockage somewhere else, or a second leak in a pipe that was already reported to you as needing full replacement. If that is the situation, you hear it on the first visit.

Rather not call?

Leave your number and you get a call back. That is fine for work that can wait; with water on the floor, calling is faster.

No emergency? Leave your number

For work that can wait. With water on the floor or no heating at all, calling is faster, because this form is not read continuously.

Is it urgent?

Then call. The phone is answered from 07:00 to 22:00, every day, and you hear straight away when somebody can be there.
